Theme: Helping feed the world
Animal Science 2019
By actively managing their food supplies, agricultural societies were able to produce more food than hunter-foragers and support denser populations. Having a large population nearby made it worthwhile for farmers to grow more food than they needed for themselves, as they could trade this surplus for other goods. For non-farmers, this meant that they could focus on making other goods and trading these goods for food and other things. People could specialize—focus on doing one thing—which led to increased productivity. Increased productivity led to the creation of better buildings, tools, weapons, and also to the rise of governments to oversee this activity and military forces to protect people and resources. Many population centers evolved into the first wave of city-states that emerged within a few thousand years of the agricultural revolution. Eventually those states began to have complex bureaucracies to tax and administer their people, a significant catalyst for the birth of writing, which was transformational for civilization.
Track 6: Animal Health
The link between human and animal populations, and with the surrounding environment, is particularly close in developing regions where animals provide transportation, draught power, fuel, clothing as well as proteins (meat, eggs and milk).A comprehensive approach – the One Health approach – is needed to deal with the complexities of changing disease landscapes. This approach gives greater emphasis to agro-ecological resilience, the protection of biodiversity, the efficient use of natural resources and the safety of food supply chains particularly in areas worst afflicted by poverty and animal disease. Speeding up response times, by early detection and reaction, including at the driver level, is essential.
Track 7: Animal Reproduction
The Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) is part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is U.S. agriculture’s link to the constantly changing global marketplace. Italy is the third-largest economy in the euro-zone, with a GDP estimated at $2.2 trillion and a per capita GDP of $36,800. Being a net agricultural importer, most raw materials and ingredients are imported, as Italy’s economic strength is in the processing and the manufacturing of goods, primarily in small and medium-sized family-owned firms. Italy exports mainly consumer products to the United States, while the United States exports mostly bulk commodities to Italy. U.S. agricultural and fish exports to Italy were $1.0 billion and U.S. imports from Italy were $4.6 billion.
Of Italy's total land area of 29.4 million ha (72.6 million acres), 10.9 million ha (26.9 million acres), or 37.1% of the land, were under annual or permanent crops in 1998. Small, individually owned farms predominate, with the majority three ha (7.4 acres) or less. In 2001, about 5% (1.4 million persons) of the economically active population was in the agricultural sector.
The 14th annual conference on Crop science and Agriculture (Crop Science 2018), hosted by conference series took place at Bali,Indonesia during November29-30, 2018. It was organised by Me conference and generous response from the Editorial Board Members of our supporting journals as well as from eminent scientists, talented researchers and young student community. Reaserchers and students who attended from different parts of the world made the conference one of the most successful and productive events in 2018 from Me conference.
The program witnessed thought provoking keynote and plenary presentations from experts in the field of Cell Therapy, highlighting the theme, “Exploring New Trends in Agricultural Practices and Crop Science”.
The meeting was carried out through various sessions, in which the discussions were held on the following major scientific tracks:
- Crop science
- Agriculture and Horticulture
- Agro ecology and bio resources
- Agricultural and Environment
- Bio diversity & eco system
- Global warming and Agriculture
- Agroforestry and landscaping
- Agriculture crop and soil science
- Agriculture and Food security
- Nutrition and Sustainable Agriculture
- Agriculture Bio technology
- Phsiology and Molecular biology
- Plant pathology in Agriculture
- Animal farming and Genetic Engineering
We would like to acknowledge our sincere thanks and support to our honorable organizing committee members, scientists, researchers, as well as experts from Non-government organizations, and students from diverse groups who made this conference as one of the most successful and productive events in 2018 from Me conference.
The conference was marked with multiple sessions, Keynote presentations, panel discussions, and Poster sessions. We received active participation from scientists, young and brilliant researchers, business delegates and talented student communities, who have driven this event into the path of success.
Me conference has taken the privilege of felicitating Crop science and Agriculture 2018 Organizing Committee, Keynote Speakers who supported for the success of this event. Me conference, on behalf of the Organizing Committee congratulates the Best Poster awardees for their outstanding performance in the field of Plant Science and appreciates all the participants who put their efforts in poster presentations and sincerely wishes them success in future endeavours.
